ANKARA (AA) - The EU saw an annual rise of 1.5 percent in consumer prices in January, statistics authority Eurostat announced on Friday.
The 28-member bloc's annual inflation rate was down from 1.6 percent in December 2018.
The annual inflation rate went up in 16 member states, was steady in five, and rose in seven.
Last month's lowest rates were seen in Greece (0.5 percent) and Croatia and Portugal (both 0.6 percent), while the highest figures were in Romania (3.2 percent), Latvia (2.9 percent), and Estonia and Hungary (both 2.8 percent).
