ANKARA (AA) – Hungary won against Austria 2-0 in Euro 2016 Group F game at Stade de Bordeaux on Tuesday evening.
Hungary forward Adam Szalai broke the deadlock in the 62nd minute. Hannover forward poked the ball in the area and his touch beat Austria goalkeeper Robert Almer.
Near the end of the game Hungary secured their win as Nurnberg attacking midfielder Zoltan Stieber chipped over Almer on a counter attack in the 87th minute to make it 2-0.
Austria center back Aleksandar Dragovic was sent off after penalizing Hungarian opponent in 66th minute.
The game also saw Hungary's goalkeeper Gabor Kiraly, 40, become the oldest player to take part in European championship finals.
Tuesday's other Group F match is taking place between Portugal and Iceland in Saint-Etienne.
