ANKARA (AA) – Turkey’s football club Medipol Basaksehir will face Borussia Monchengladbach from Germany on Thursday to qualify for the last 32 of UEFA Europa League.
Medipol Basaksehir should grab three points in the last group match to maintain their European adventure.
The match will start in the Borussia-Park, Germany, at 2000GMT.
The Turkish club are currently on the third spot with 7 points in the Group J.
Borussia Monchengladbach and the Serie A team Roma have 8 points as Wolfsberger of Austria bottomed the group with 4 points.
- Besiktas, Trabzonspor already eliminated from Europa League
Another Turkish club Besiktas will meet the English Premier League side Wolverhampton Wanderers for their last match in the Group K on Thursday.
The Istanbul team are hopeless for the last 32 stage in the Europa League as it was eliminated from the tournament, after losing to Braga 3-1 on Nov. 7.
Besiktas are in the fourth spot in the Group K, collecting 3 points.
Portugal's Braga currently top the group with 11 points as they are followed by Wolverhampton Wanderers, having 10 points.
Slovan Bratislava from Slovakia sit on the third place with 4 points.
The game between Besiktas and Wolverhampton Wanderers will kick off in the Molineux Stadium, the U.K., at 2000GMT.
Turkish Super Lig club Trabzonspor will vie against the Swiss team Basel to gain their first win in this season's UEFA Europa League group stage.
The match will be held in the St. Jakob-Park, Switzerland, at 1755GMT on Thursday.
The Black Sea club recorded one draw and four losses in five Europa League matches as they currently bottomed the Group C with only 1 point.
Trabzonspor have already been eliminated from the tournament when they were defeated by Krasnodar of Russia 3-1 on Nov. 7.
In the Group C, Basel new are on the top with 10 points.
Krasnodar and the Spanish club Getafe have 9 points each as these two are competing to qualify for the Europa League knockout stage.
