European exchanges close Friday lower

Germany’s DAX 30 performs worst, losing 1.55%

ISTANBUL (AA) – European stock exchanges closed with losses on Friday.

The STOXX Europe 600, which includes around 90% of the market capitalization of the European markets in 17 countries, was down 4.45 points, or 0.98%, at 449.18.

The UK’s FTSE 100 fell 45 points, or 0.59%, to close at 7,599.

Germany’s DAX 30 was the worst performer of the day, losing 238 points, or 1.55%, to finish the day at 15,186.

France’s CAC 40 fell 101 points, or 1.42%, to 7,003, while Italy’s FTSE MIB dropped 256 points, or 0.9%, to 28,237.

Spain’s IBEX also 35 dropped 103 points, or 1.1%, to end the last trading day of the week at 9,232.
