European exchanges close lower, except in Italy

Italy’s FTSE MIB gains 0.12%, UK’s FTSE 100 performs worst by losing 0.43%

ISTANBUL (AA) - European stock exchanges closed Friday with losses, except in Italy.

The STOXX Europe 600, which includes around 90% of the market capitalization of the European market in 17 countries, was down 1.30 points, or 0.27%, to finish at 476.38.

The UK’s FTSE 100 was the worst performer of the day, plummeting 33 points, or 0.43%, to end the session at 7,689.

Germany’s DAX trimmed 23 points, or 0.14%, to 16,594. France’s CAC 40 fell nearly 30 points, or 0.4%, to 7,420.

Spain’s IBEX 35 decreased 17 points, or 0.18%, to close at 10,164.

Italy’s FTSE MIB, on the other hand, rose almost 37 points, or 0.12%, to 30,440 at the final bell.
