ISTANBUL (AA) - European stock exchanges closed lower Monday, except in Italy.
The STOXX Europe 600, which includes around 90% of the market capitalization of the European market in 17 countries, was down 0.86 points, or 0.17%, to finish at 503.94.
The UK’s FTSE 100 fell 4.87 points, or 0.06%, to 7,722. France’s CAC 40 trimmed 16 points, or 0.2%, to 8,148.
Germany’s DAX 30 decreased almost four points, or 0.02%, to end the session at 17,932.
Spain’s IBEX 35 lost 1.2 points, or 0.01% to finish the first trading day of the week at 10,596.
Italy’s FTSE MIB, on the other hand, rose 0.93 point to 33,940 at the final bell.
