ISTANBUL (AA) - European stock exchanges closed lower Monday, except in Italy.
The STOXX Europe 600, which includes around 90% of the market capitalization of the European market in 17 countries, was down 0.17 points, or 0.03%, to finish at 516.43.
The UK’s FTSE 100 fell 10 points, or 0.13%, to 8,193. Germany’s DAX 30 trimmed 3.4 points, or 0.02%, to end the session at 18,472.
France’s CAC 40 was the worst performer of the day as it declined 48 points, or 0.63%, to 7,627.
Spain’s IBEX 35 lost 1.4 points, or 0.01% to finish the first trading day of the week at 11,022.
Italy’s FTSE MIB, on the other hand, rose almost 59 points, or 0.17%, to 34,046 at the final bell.
