ISTANBUL (AA) - European stock exchanges closed Thursday lower, except in Italy.
The STOXX Europe 600, which includes around 90% of the market capitalization of the European market in 17 countries, was down 0.94 points, or 0.18%, to finish at 519.11.
The UK’s FTSE 100 fell six points, or 0.07%, to 8,237. Germany’s DAX 30 trimmed 44 points, or 0.23%, to 19,210.
France’s CAC 40 dropped 18 points, or 0.24%, to end the session at 7,541.
Spain’s IBEX 35 was the worst performer of the day, as it declined 84 points, or 0.72% to finish at 11,656.
Italy’s FTSE MIB, on the other hand, rose 144 points, or 0.43%, to 34,077 at the final bell.
