ISTANBUL (AA) – European stock exchanges closed with losses on Monday as they kicked off the new week on a lower note.
The STOXX Europe 600, which includes around 90% of the market capitalization of the European markets in 17 countries, was down 1.14 points, or 0.26%, at 443.79.
The UK’s FTSE 100 fell 2.37 points, or 0.03%, to close at 7,492. Germany’s DAX 30 lost 101 points, or 0.67%, to finish the day at 15,128.
France’s CAC 40 fell 38 points, or 0.55%, to 7,021, while Italy’s FTSE MIB dropped 128 points, or 0.46%, to end the first trading day of the week at 27,682.
Spain’s IBEX 35 was the worst performer of the day, losing 84 points, or 0.91%, to 9,151 at the closing bell.
