European exchanges close Thursday lower

France’s CAC 40 performs worst, falling 0.36%

ISTANBUL (AA) - European stock exchanges closed with losses on Thursday.

The STOXX Europe 600, which includes around 90% of the market capitalization of the European markets in 17 countries, was down 0.54 point, or 0.11%, at 478.08.

The UK’s FTSE 100 fell 2.21 points, or 0.03%, to close at 7,722. Germany’s DAX 30 lost 40 points, or 0.24%, to finish the day at 16,701.

France’s CAC 40 was the worst performer of the day, losing 36 points, or 0.48%, to 7,535.

Italy’s FTSE MIB dropped 90 points, or 0.3%, to end the day at 30,331 and Spain’s IBEX 35 shed 35 points, or 0.35%, to 10,086 at the closing bell.
