European exchanges close Thursday mixed

Germany’s DAX, France’s CAC post gains; Italy, Spain’s exchanges finish session in red

ISTANBUL (AA) - European stock exchanges closed mixed on Wednesday.

The STOXX Europe 600, which includes around 90% of the market capitalization of the European markets in 17 countries, was up 1.44 points, or 0.3%, at 478.53.

The UK’s FTSE 100 was mostly unchanged by adding just two points, or 0.03%, to close at 7,529.

Germany’s DAX 30 added 17 points, or 0.1%, to finish at 16,906, and France’s CAC 40 rose eight points, or 0.11%, to 7,464.

Italy’s FTSE MIB, on the other hand, fell 180 points, or 0.6%, to end the day at 30,157.

Spain’s IBEX 35 also decreased by 57 points, or 0.58%, to 9,916 at the closing bell.
