ISTANBUL (AA) - European stock exchanges closed Friday with gains to finish the week on a strong note.
The STOXX Europe 600, which includes around 90% of the market capitalization of European markets in 17 countries, was up 5.51 points, or 1.09%, to 510.90.
The UK’s FTSE 100 added 67 points, or 0.83%, to end the session at 8,177.
Germany’s DAX gained 177 points, or 0.93%, to finish at nearly 19,255. France’s CAC 40 rose nearly 58 points, or 0.8%, to 7,409.
Italy’s FTSE MIB increased almost 395 points, or 1.15%, to 34,676.
Spain’s IBEX 35 was the best performer of the day, rising 170 points, or 1.46%, to 11,843 at the closing bell.
