ISTANBUL (AA) - Stock exchanges in Europe closed Tuesday with major losses.
The STOXX Europe 600, which includes around 90% of the market capitalization of the European market in 17 countries, fell 4.87 points, or 0.93%, to close at 517.29.
The UK's FTSE 100 shed 80 points, or 0.98%, to 8,147. Germany's DAX lost 124 points, or 0.68%, to 18,369.
France's CAC 40 declined 104 points, or 1.33%, to end the session just below 7,789.
Spain's IBEX 35 dropped 181 points, or 1.6%, to close at 11,175.
Italy's FTSE MIB was the worst performer of the day, plummeting 667 points, or 1.93%, to end the day at 33,874.
