European exchanges end Wednesday lower

France's CAC performs worst with 0.61% loss

ISTANBUL (AA) - European stock exchanges ended Wednesday on a lower note.

The STOXX Europe 600, which includes around 90% of the market capitalization of the European market in 17 countries, fell 1.77 points, or 0.34%, to close at 521.18.

The UK's FTSE 100 lost 46 points, or 0.55%, to end the session at 8,370. Germany's DAX shed 46 points, or 0.25%, to 18,680.

France's CAC 40 was the worst performer of the day, falling 49 points, or 0.61%, to 8,092.

Italy's FTSE MIB, meanwhile, declined 143 points, or 0.41%, to finish the session at 34,460.

Spain's IBEX 35 decreased almost six points, or 0.05%, to end the day at 11,329.
