ANKARA (AA) - European stocks closed mixed on Friday, while US indices fell to negative despite higher opening.
The STOXX Europe 600, which includes around 90% of the market capitalization of the European market in 17 countries, was down 1.28 points, or 0.28%, to close at 457.29. It rose 0.96% this week.
London's FTSE 100, however, was the best performer of the day by rising 17 points, or 0.25%, to 7,075. It gained 0.97% for the week.
Germany's DAX 30 index dove 44 points, or 0.29%, to 15,206, while the French CAC 40 decreased 40 points, or 0.61%, to 6,560. The indices rose 0.32% and 0.64% this week, consecutively.
Italy's FTSE MIB, on the other hand, rose 58, or 0.23%, to 26,051 points. The index had a weekly increase of 1.7%.
Spain's IBEX 35 decreased 7.8 points, or 0.1%, to 8,955. However, it was up 1.76% this week.
