European markets close lower, 4 indices post weekly losses

This week, Germany’s DAX 30 performs best with 0.4% gain, IBEX 35 plummets 3.6%

ANKARA (AA) – European stock markets closed lower on Friday, while four indices posted weekly losses.

The STOXX Europe 600, which includes around 90% of the market capitalization of the European market in 17 countries, fell 1.62, or 0.33%, to close at 486.08. The index fell 0.13% this week.

London’s FTSE 100 lost 32 points, or 0.45%, to end the day at 7,223. It decreased 1.69% this week.

Germany’s DAX 30 fell 61 points, or 0.38%, to finish at 16,159. For the week, it gained 0.4%.

France’s CAC 40 declined 29 points, or 0.42%, to close at 7,112, despite hitting an all-time high of 7,183.08 points during the day. It rose 0.29% this week.

Italy’s FTSE MIB 30 decreased 324 points, or 1.17%, to end the day at 27,337. It had a weekly decline of 1.42%.

Spain’s IBEX 35 was the worst performer of the day by diving 150 points, or 1.68%, to close at 8,753. The index plummeted 3.6% this week.
