European stock exchanges close lower

Spain’s IBEX 35 performs worst, falling 1.22%

ISTANBUL (AA) – European stock exchanges closed with losses on Monday.

The STOXX Europe 600, which includes around 90% of the market capitalization of the European markets in 17 countries, was down 2.82 points, or 0.62%, at 450.44.

The UK’s FTSE 100 decreased almost 60 points, or 0.78%, to close at 7,624. Germany’s DAX 30 lost 151 points, or 0.98%, to finish the day at 15,405.

France’s CAC 40 fell 60 points, or 0.85%, to 7,123, while Italy’s FTSE MIB declined 193 points, or 0.68%, to 28,382 at the closing bell.

Spain’s IBEX 35 was the worst performer of the day, decreasing 116 points, or 1.22%, to end the first trading day of the week at 9,386.
