ISTANBUL (AA) – European stock exchanges closed lower on Tuesday.
The STOXX Europe 600, which includes around 90% of the market capitalization of the European markets in 17 countries, fell 1.08 points, or 0.23%, to finish at 458.60.
Italy's FTSE MIB was the worst performer of the day, plummeting 605 points, or 2.12%, to 27,942.
The UK's FTSE 100 lost 27 points, or 0.36%, to end the session at 7,527. Germany's DAX also shed 175 points, or 1.1%, to 15,774.
France's CAC 40, meanwhile, lost 50 points, or 0.69%, to close at 7,269.
Spain's IBEX 35 trimmed 56 points, or 0.61%, to end the day at 9,301.
