ANKARA (AA) - European stock exchanges were higher at Wednesday’s open, built on the previous session's gains.
The STOXX Europe 600, which includes around 90% of the market capitalization of the European market in 17 countries, was up 0.19% to 400.6 points.
Germany’s DAX 30 gained 0.39% to 12,815 points and France’s CAC 40 climbed 0.42% to 6,092.77 points.
The UK’s FTSE 100 index increased 0.32% to 6,959 points despite hot inflation data which points to an aggressive rate hike ahead.
Britain's annual consumer inflation rose to 10.1% in September, returning to July's 40-year high due to surging food prices, the Office for National Statistics (ONS) said on Wednesday.
Italy’s FTSE MIB went up 0.49% to 21,625 points, and Spain’s IBEX 35 hiked 0.24% to 7,629 points.
