ISTANBUL (AA) — European stocks closed higher on Friday, except for Italy's stock exchange.
The STOXX Europe 600, which includes around 90% of the market capitalization of the European market in 17 countries, was up 1.35 points, or 0.29%, to close at 459.28.
The UK's FTSE 100 increased 35 points, or 0.47%, to finish the session at 7,564. Germany's DAX 30 added 58 points, or 0.37%, to reach 15,951.
France’s CAC 40 was the best performer of the day, rising 54 points, or 0.75%, to hit 7,315.
Spain’s IBEX 35, meanwhile, surged 61 points, or 0.66%, to close at 9,368.
Italy’s FTSE MIB, on the other hand, decreased 116 points, or 0.41%, to 28,586 at the final bell.
