ISTANBUL (AA) – European stocks closed higher on Monday, except for the stock exchanges of Italy and Spain.
The STOXX Europe 600, which includes around 90% of the market capitalization of the European market in 17 countries, was up almost 0.25 point, or 0.05%, to close at 466.89.
The UK’s FTSE 100 increased almost 39 points, or 0.5%, to finish the session at 7,870.
Germany’s DAX 30 added 121 points, or 0.77%, to reach 15,922. France’s CAC 40 gained seven points, or 0.1%, to hit 7,491.
Italy’s FTSE MIB, on the other hand, decreased 80 points, or 0.3%, to 27,077 at the final bell.
Spain’s IBEX 35, meanwhile, fell 73 points, or 0.79%, to close at 9,241.
