ISTANBUL (AA) – European stocks closed higher Tuesday except for the IBEX 35 in Spain.
The STOXX Europe 600, which includes around 90% of the market capitalization of the European markets in 17 countries, was up 1.91 points, or 0.44%, to close at 435.09.
The UK’s FTSE 100 increased 14 points, or 0.2%, to finish the session at 7,389, while Germany’s DAX gained 79 points, or 0.54%, to 14,879.
France’s CAC 40 was the best performer of the day, soaring 43 points, or 0.63%, to 6,893.
Italy’s FTSE MIB gained almost 14 points, or 0.05%, to hit 27,572 by the closing bell.
Spain’s IBEX 35, on the other hand, fell 19 points, or 0.22%, to 8,975.
