ISTANBUL (AA) – European stocks closed higher Wednesday except for the IBEX 35 in Spain.
The STOXX Europe 600, which includes around 90% of the market capitalization of the European markets in 17 countries, was up 2.41 points, or 0.5%, to close at 485.24.
The UK’s FTSE 100 was the best performer of the day, rising 56 points, or 0.75%, to finish the session at 7,568.
Germany’s DAX added 64 points, or 0.38%, to 16,945. France’s CAC 40 rose 52 points, or 0.68%, to 7,677.
Italy’s FTSE MIB increased 195 points, or 0.63%, to hit 31,329 by the closing bell.
Spain’s IBEX 35, on the other hand, fell 8.8 points, or 0.09%, to 9,916.
