ISTANBUL (AA) — European stocks closed higher on Friday, except for the IBEX 35 in Spain.
The STOXX Europe 600, which includes around 90% of the market capitalization of the European markets in 17 countries, was up 1.67 points, or 0.32%, to close at 518.17.
The UK's FTSE 100 was the best performer of the day, rising 44 points, or 0.54%, to finish the session at 8,275.
Germany's DAX added 1.15 points, or 0.01%, to 18,497. France's CAC 40 rose 14 points, or 0.18%, to 7,992.
Italy's FTSE MIB increased 44 points, or 0.13%, to hit 34,492 by the closing bell.
Spain’s IBEX 35, on the other hand, fell 16 points, or 0.14%, to 11,322.
