ISTANBUL (AA) - European stock exchanges closed higher Monday, except in the UK.
The STOXX Europe 600, which includes around 90% of the market capitalization of the European market in 17 countries, was up 1.64 points, or 0.32%, to finish at 522.21.
Germany's DAX 30 rose 81 points, or 0.44%, to close the first trading day of the week at 18,774. France's CAC 40 rose 37 points, or 0.46%, to 8,132.
Italy's FTSE MIB was the best performer of the day, soaring 271 points, or 0.79%, to finish at almost 34,762.
Spain's IBEX 35 gained 79 points, or 0.71%, to end the session at 11,325.
The UK's FTSE 100, on the other hand, lost 21 points, or 0.26%, to close at 8,317.
