ISTANBUL (AA) - European stock exchanges closed Tuesday higher, except in the UK.
The STOXX Europe 600, which includes around 90% of the market capitalization of the European market in 17 countries, was up 2.29 points, or 0.45%, to finish at 514.08.
Germany's DAX rose 90 points, or 0.49%, to close the second trading day of the week at 18,411. France's CAC 40 rose 31 points, or 0.42%, to 7,474.
Italy's FTSE MIB was the best performer of the day, soaring 267 points, or 0.79%, to finish at 33,908.
Spain's IBEX 35 gained 84 points, or 0.76%, to end the session at 11,202.
The UK's FTSE 100, on the other hand, lost almost 18 points, or 0.22%, to close at 8,274.
