ISTANBUL (AA) — European stocks closed higher on Wednesday, except in the UK and France.
The STOXX Europe 600, which includes around 90% of the market capitalization of the European market in 17 countries, was up 0.15% to finish at 453.16.
Germany's DAX 30 rose 36 points, or 0.24%, to close at 15,460, while Spain's IBEX 35 increased 8.3 points, or 0.09%, to finish at 9,360.
Italy's FTSE MIB was the best performer of the day, adding 100 points, or 0.36%, to end at 28,419.
The UK's FTSE, on the other hand, shed eight points, or 0.11%, to end the day at 7,620.
France's CAC 40 declined 31 points, or 0.44%, to finish mid-week at 7,131.
