ISTANBUL (AA) – European stock exchanges closed lower on Friday except for Germany.
The STOXX Europe 600, which includes around 90% of the market capitalization of the European market in 17 countries, fell 0.94 points, or 0.18%, to finish at 516.60.
France's CAC 40 dropped 20 points, or 0.26%, to close at 7,675. Italy's FTSE MIB lost 118 points, or 0.35%, to 33,987.
One day after a Labour Party landslide victory in Britain ended 14 years of Conservative Party rule, the UK's FTSE 100 was the worst performer of the day, diving 37 points, or 0.45%, to end the session at 8,203.
Spain's IBEX 35 lost 42 points, or 0.39%, to end the day at 11,023.
Germany's DAX, on the other hand, rose almost 25 points, or 0.14%, to finish the day at 18,475.
