ISTANBUL (AA) - European stocks closed lower Monday, except in Italy and Spain.
The STOXX Europe 600, which includes around 90% of the market capitalization of the European market in 17 countries, was down 0.95 points, or 0.21%, to finish at 460.98.
The UK’s FTSE 100 fell 4.27 points, or 0.06%, to end the session at 7,527. France’s CAC 40 trimmed 13 points, or 0.18%, to 7,386.
Germany’s DAX 30 was the worst performer of the day, plummeting 66 points, or 0.41%, to 16,081.
Italy’s FTSE MIB, on the other hand, jumped 216 points, or 0.77%, to 28,446 at the final bell.
Spain’s IBEX 35 rose 51 points, or 0.54%, to close at 9,644.
