ISTANBUL (AA) - The annual inflation rate was at 2.3% in the euro area as of November, up from 2% in October, Eurostat revealed on Friday.
According to Eurostat's preliminary figures, price hike in October stemmed from increasing prices in services, 4%, food-alcohol-tobacco, 2.9%, and non-energy, 0.5%.
Energy prices, meanwhile, decreased by 4.6% in October.
Among euro area countries, highest inflation rates were seen in Belgium with 5%, and the Netherlands and Estonia, both 3.8%.
Lowest rates were posted by Ireland with 0.5%, and Lithuania and Luxembourg, both with 1.1%.
