ANKARA (AA) - Everton grabbed a vital 1-0 win against Chelsea in a week 35 match of the English Premier League on Sunday.
Richarlison scored the home team’s winning goal in the 46th minute at Goodison Park.
The Toffees, who are fighting to remain in the Premier League, scored a big win against the London club, who are third in the standings.
Chelsea head coach Thomas Tuchel said: "(I am) very disappointed. We knew what was coming, and like in the last matches, we struggled to have clean sheets."
Everton manager Frank Lampard, who is also a former Chelsea player, meanwhile said: "I am delighted. It was a big game for us, but we have still got a lot of work to do."
Chelsea are third in the Premier League standings with 66 points while Everton are in 18th spot with 32 points.
With only three weeks left to go in the league, the title race is heating up between leaders Manchester City and runners-up Liverpool, who have 83 and 82 points respectively after Man City's 4-0 away victory against Leeds United and Liverpool's 1-0 away win against Newcastle United on Saturday.
