A Turkish Airlines EuroLeague basketball game Thursday between Paris Basketball and Fenerbahce Beko in Paris has been suspended because of a lack of players.
"The Turkish Airlines EuroLeague Regular Season Round 17 game between Paris Basketball and Fenerbahce BEKO Istanbul, scheduled to be played on December 19, has been suspended due to the impossibility of Paris Basketball to have a minimum of eight players included on the Authorisation List and fit to play due to injury or illness," the Turkish Airlines EuroLeague wrote on X.
"Fenerbahce's game against Paris on Thursday has been suspended due to several Paris players dealing with flu," it added on the injury report page of the league’s website.
Paris Basketball wrote on X that the game at Paris' Adidas Arena has been postponed and tickets would "remain valid" for a new date.
The French club is talking to authorities to set a new date for the game.
Paris Basketball have a 11 - 5 record and are second in the EuroLeague standings. Monaco lead the league with 11 wins in 16 rounds.
Fenerbahce Beko are 10-6 and in the sixth spot.
There will be two games in Round 17 on Thursday as Panathinaikos AKTOR Athens will host Spain's Baskonia Vitoria-Gasteiz in Greece, and Real Madrid will face Monaco in the Spanish capital.
