ANKARA (AA) - Turkish basketball's defending champions Fenerbahce Beko acquired American center Johnathan Motley on Monday.
"We are pleased to announce that our team has agreed on a two-year deal with Johnathan Motley (May 4, 1995)," Fenerbahce Beko said in a statement.
Motley, 27, played for the Russian club Lokomotiv Kuban Krasnodar in the 2021-22 season, which was his first season in Europe.
Before his one-season spell with Lokomotiv Kuban, he had played for NBA's Dallas Mavericks and their G League affiliate, the Texas Legends, and another NBA franchise Los Angeles Clippers and the Agua Caliente Clippers in the NBA G League.
In 2021, he moved to South Korea to play for Incheon ET Land Elephants.
Last season, Motley displayed a stellar performance for Lokomotiv Kuban at the 7DAYS EuroCup, averaging 21.2 points and 7 rebounds in nine EuroCup games.
Next season, Motley will make his top-tier Turkish Airlines EuroLeague debut with Fenerbahce.
Earlier on Monday, Fenerbahce said their forward Danilo Barthel and center Ahmet Duverioglu left the Istanbul club as their deals expired.
