ANKARA (AA) - Italian power forward Achille Polonara left Istanbul's Fenerbahce Beko basketball team to join their city rivals Anadolu Efes on Wednesday.
Anadolu Efes said on Twitter that it signed a one-year contract with Polonara with an option for another season.
Earlier Wednesday, Fenerbahce Beko said they parted ways with Polonara, who played for the team in the 2021-22 season, and thanked the 30-year-old for his contributions.
Italian international Polonara helped Fenerbahce Beko win the 2021-22 ING Basketball Super League title.
Polonara previously played for Baskonia Vitoria-Gasteiz where he won the 2020 Spanish league championship.
