ISTANBUL (AA) - Fenerbahce won against Hes Kablo Kayserispor 3-0 Monday in the 21st gameweek of the Turkish Super Lig.
Senegalese forward Mame Thiam opened the scoring for Istanbul's Fenerbahce in the 20th minute at Ulker stadium.
In the 52nd minute, the home side doubled the lead as Mbwana Samatta produced a goal from a close-range finish.
Fenerbahce's Papiss Cisse came off the bench to produce a goal near the end of the game, making the score 3-0.
With the victory, the Yellow-Canaries held onto second place with 42 points, while Kayserispor are in the number 17 spot with 19 points.
- Alanyaspor beat Ankaragucu in tough game
In another Monday game, MKE Ankaragucu suffered a loss to Aytemiz Alanyaspor with a score of 4-3.
The winning side's goals came from Salih Ucan, Anastasios Bakasetas, Khouma Babacar, and Francois Moubandje at Antalya's Bahcesehir Okullari stadium.
Ankaragucu found the goals with Joseph Paintsil (2) and Aliou Badji but their efforts were not enough to avoid a defeat.
Following the loss, Aytemiz Alanyaspor are in fifth place with 34 points.
