Fenerbahce's Dutch defender Jayden Oosterwolde underwent a knee surgery on Saturday, the Turkish football powerhouse said.
In a statement, Fenerbahce said Oosterwolde, 22, had a "successful meniscus surgery" abroad, and his recovery process has begun.
Oosterwolde, who mainly plays as a left-back at his club, is expected to miss the remainder of the 2023-24 football season.
This season he scored two goals in 41 matches for the Istanbul team.
Oosterwolde was injured during UEFA Europa Conference League quarterfinals first leg at Olympiacos earlier this week. The Turkish team lost the match 3-2.
