ISTANBUL (AA) - Fenerbahce recorded a 5-1 victory Wednesday against 10-man Twente in the first leg of the UEFA Conference League playoffs.
Twente broke the deadlock when Manfred Ugalde made a close-range finish in the 20th minute. Fenerbahce leveled the match with a header from Jayden Oosterwolde in the 33rd minute.
The Dutch club's Youri Regeer received a straight red card after a hard foul on Mert Muldur in the 43rd minute at Fenerbahce Sukru Saracoglu Spor Complex.
Fenerbahce took the lead with a close-range finish from Sebastian Szymanski with an assist from Fred in the 60th minute.
Three minutes later, Irfan Can Kahveci came off the bench in the 46th minute to score a right-footed strike in the penalty box to make it 3-1. Ferdi Kadioglu has an assist on that goal.
Kahveci produced a fourth goal in the 74th minute. Dusan Tadic scored in a stoppage-time penalty as the match ended.

Istanbul club's Vincent Aboubakar converted a penalty in the 40th minute at Bucharest's Stadionul Giulesti.
In the 60th minute, Mykola Shaparenko scored for Dynamo Kyiv to level the score. Omar Colley scored a 64-minute goal to give Besiktas the lead.
Nazar Voloshyn leveled in the 66th minute.
In the stoppage time, Baktiyor Zainutdinov netted a close-range finish for the win.
