ANKARA (AA) - Fenerbahce's Tanzanian forward, Mbwana Ally Samatta, joined his former club, KRC Genk, on Tuesday on a season-long loan.
The Turkish club said it agreed to Samatta’s temporary move to the Belgian team for the 2022-23 season and added that Genk has a purchase option they can make the deal permanent.
Samatta, 29, has a contract with Fenerbahce until 2024.
He played for Genk forward from 2016-2020 before his move to Aston Villa in the English Premier League.
Samatta helped Genk win the Belgian Pro League in 2019.
He spent last season at another Belgian club, Royal Antwerp, where he scored nine goals in 39 matches.
