ISTANBUL (AA) - Galatasaray have been awarded a 3-0 win after Fenerbahce staged a walkout one minute into the Turkish Super Cup final, Türkiye's Professional Football Disciplinary Board (PFDK) confirmed on Thursday.
The PFDK said in a statement that it also fined Fenerbahce 4 million liras ($123,000) and board member Ahmet Ketenci was sentenced to 60 days of deprivation of rights and a fine of 520,000 liras ($16,000) for his unsportsmanlike behavior by withdrawing the team from the competition.
The Turkish Super Cup match ended after the players of Istanbul side's u19s team left the field on Sunday, April 7.
The Yellow Canaries conceded a goal in the first minute against Mario Icardi, and walked off.
Referee Volkan Bayarslan also left the game, and Galatasaray played against their reserves on the field for training.
