Turkish football powerhouse Fenerbahce are set to sign Leonardo Bonucci, as on Wednesday they began talks with the experienced Italian central defender.
Fenerbahce said on X that it "started transfer talks with defender Leonardo Bonucci," adding that the 36-year-old will be in Istanbul later in the day for medical tests and hold further talks.
Bonucci has spent most of his time at Juventus, playing 502 games to score 37 goals for the Turin club.
In addition to Juventus, Bonucci played for AC Milan and Inter Milan.
He took part in the capture of nine Italian Serie A titles, including eight with Juventus in 2012-2017 and then another 2019-2020.
Bonucci was the Italian champion with Inter in 2006.
He played for Milan during the 2017-18 season before returning to Juventus.
Bonucci last played for Germany's Union Berlin.
He amassed 121 international caps for Italy, where he won the EURO 2020 title in 2021.
