ISTANBUL (AA) - Fenerbahce suffered a 3-2 defeat to Olympiacos in the first leg of the Europa Conference League quarterfinal on Thursday.
Olympiacos broke the deadlock with Kostas Fortounis in the eighth minute, and Stevan Jovetic doubled the lead in the 32nd minute at the Stadio Georgios Karaiskakis in Piraeus.
In the 57th minute, Chiquinho made a close-range finish to make the score 3-0.
Fenerbahce were awarded a penalty after Panagiotis Retsos brought down Osayi-Samuel in the penalty box in the 67th minute.
After a minute, Dusan Tadic fired into the bottom-right corner to make it 3-1.
The Istanbul club narrowed the gap to one when Irfan Can Kahveci finished a close-range finish in the 74th minute.
The game ended in favor of Olympiacos, 3-2.
