The Turkish Football Federation (TFF) on Monday said several players and staff members of Fenerbahce and Trabzonspor were referred to the Professional Football Disciplinary Committee (PFDK) due to violence after the March 17 Super Lig game.
Fenerbahce players Bright Osayi-Samuel, Jayden Oosterwolde and Irfan Can Egribayat; Fenerbahce club officials Kursat Ciftlik and Okan Ozkan, along with Trabzonspor coach Egemen Korkmaz, were referred to the PFDK in accordance with Article 45 of disciplinary rules due to "fights."
Trabzonspor was also referred to the PFDK for "field incidents" in accordance with Article 52 of the rules, and for "violating the instructions."
As Fenerbahce players celebrated their 3-2 victory on the center circle of the Papara Park on March 17, dozens of Trabzonspor fans invaded the pitch to attack them. A large number of security personnel rushed to the scene to stop the chaos.
