ANKARA (AA) - FIFA President Gianni Infantino tested positive for the novel coronavirus, French media reported Tuesday.
The world’s football governing body said in a communique that the 50-year-old Swiss-Italian executive has mild symptoms and is in quarantine for 10 days, according to L'Equipe.
Infantino was elected president of FIFA in 2016.
He was re-elected last year for another four years.
Before serving at FIFA, Infantino worked for UEFA, Europe’s football's governing body.
