ANKARA (AA) - Fighting for control of the Donbas region in Ukraine continued Monday, according to that country’s president.
“The situation in Donbas is difficult, acute,” Volodymyr Zelenskyy said in an address to the nation.
Bakhmut, Kreminna and other areas in Donbas now require “maximum strength and concentration,” he said in the video message released on social media
Zelenskyy thanked Ukrainian soldiers who hold their positions firmly, stand strong and find opportunities to fight the “occupiers.”
He urged Ukrainians to be ready for possible Russian missile attacks or provocations.
“Air defense is preparing, the state is preparing, and everyone must prepare. Please pay attention to the sirens,” he said.
