LONDON (AA) - Firefighters have extinguished a fire that broke out at a block of flats in southeast London, the London Fire Brigade (LFB) said Wednesday.
Ten fire engines and about 70 firefighters are tackling a fire at a block of flats on Rosenthal Road in Catford, the LFB said in a statement.
"Two flats were alight. There are currently no reports of any injuries," it said, noting that the fire was extinguished at 2.14 p.m. local time.
"Rushey Green remains closed between Rosenthal Road and Honley Road and people are advised to avoid the area whilst firefighters continue to work at the scene," it added.
The LFB was called at 12.51 p.m. and have taken almost 50 calls about the blaze.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
