ANKARA (AA) - The International Volleyball Federation (FIVB) Women's Club World Championship is set to start in the Turkish capital Ankara on Wednesday.
Two teams from Turkey are also taking part in the five-day tournament being held at the Ankara Ataturk Sport Hall.
Turkey's Fenerbahce Opet, Imoco Volley from Italy and Dentil Praia from Brazil will compete in Group A, while Istanbul-based VakifBank, Altay from Kazakhstan and Minas from Brazil will compete in Group B.
The opening match will be played between Minas and Altay at 15:00 local time (12:00 GMT).
While the top two teams in the group stage will compete in the semifinals on Saturday; the third place game and the final will be held on Sunday.

Teams from Turkey, the 2021 host of the championship being organized since 1991, have won six titles, two second places and four third places in the women's category.
VakifBank have won the title three times (2013, 2017, 2018), while Eczacibasi took the championship cup twice (2015, 2016) and Fenerbahce won the trophy once (2010).
The last champion was Italian club Imoco Volley in 2019.
