ANKARA (AA) - At least 29 people have been killed in Kenya due to floods caused by heavy rains over the last three weeks, local media reported Thursday.
Also, some 11,700 people have been displaced while some 10,000 livestock swept away in the floods, the Star newspaper reported.
"There have been rescue operations to take those displaced to safe areas," said Government Spokesman Cyrus Oguna, as quoted by the report.
Kenya's Met Department has warned that heavy rains will continue nationwide until Monday.
