ISTANBUL (AA) - AC Milan defeated Napoli 3-1 at Napoli's San Paolo Stadium late Sunday in Italy's top football division Serie A's matchday eight.
Zlatan Ibrahimovic's scored the first goal in the 20th minute, and the first half ended 1-0.
The Swedish star doubled the lead in the 55th minute but eight minutes later, Napoli's Dries Mertens scored to narrow the lead to one.
The Naples club's French midfielder Tiemoue Bakayoko got a red card for fouling his opponent in the 65th minute.
Norwegian forward Jens Petter Hauge took the score to 3-1 with a stoppage-time goal.
Milan increased their points to 20 and remain the Serie A leaders. Napoli are currently in the sixth place with 14 points.
Meanwhile, in another league game, Sassuolo defeated Hellas Verona 2-0, and are now ranked second with 18 points.
