ANKARA (AA) - English Premier League club Arsenal loaned Real Madrid midfielder Dani Ceballos for one season on Thursday.
"Dani Ceballos joins us on a season-long loan from Real Madrid," Arsenal said in a Twitter post.
"The decision has been made. This season I will be a gunner! I am anxious to start. Hello Arsenal. Here I am," Ceballos tweeted.
Arsenal manager Unai Emery welcomed Ceballos, praising his abilities.
"We’re excited to see Dani join us. He is a talented player with big technical ability, creativity and precision," Emery said.
The London football club said that the 22-year-old Spanish midfielder will be wearing number eight jersey this season.
Ceballos scored five goals in 56 appearances for Real Madrid since 2017 summer.
He helped Spain's La Liga club win the UEFA Champions League title in 2018.
Arsenal were looking for a central midfielder after their Welsh star Aaron Ramsey, 28, left the club to join Italy's Juventus in July 2019.
