ANKARA (AA) – Coming from behind, Medipol Basaksehir beat Ankaragucu Friday 2-1 in a Turkish Super Lig Week 28 clash in the Turkish capital Ankara.
Ankaragucu took the early lead with Gerson Rodrigues' goal in the 12th minute played in Eryaman Stadium without fans in the stands, for virus mitigation.
But in the second half, Medipol Basaksehir made a comeback with goals by Danijel Aleksic and Edin Visca to seal a remarkable victory.
Following their win, Basaksehir jumped to the top of the table with 59 points, now three points ahead of Trabzonspor.
Ankaragucu suffered a body blow as they are now in the relegation zone in 17th place with 24 points.
